Bordeaux Municipal Archives

The municipal Archives of Bordeaux, whitch origin raises to the Middle Age, collect, preserve, classify and communicate to the public the Archives Collections which are entrusted to them by the municipal administration and by private individuals, families, companies or associations related with the city.

Rich of about linear 11 kms of funds of all kinds, registers, bundles, maps, engravings, photos, digital data, they offer this written patrimony to the general public, either in its reading room or through cultural and educational events.

In 2014, the municipal Archives will move to the right bank of the Garonne river, in the former Halle aux farines renewed and transformed in a cultural building by the Belgian architects Robbrecht and Daem.

Fermeture annuelle : deuxième quinzaine de juin.
