Created in 1967 at the instigation of Jacques Chaban-Delmas, Compagnon de la Libération and General de Gaulle's National Military Delegate in occupied France, the National Jean Moulin Centre is located in a building that dates back to the middle of the 19th century.
Both a document archive and Museum of the Second World War, its three floors house collections devoted to the Resistance, Deportation and the Free French Forces. But the National Jean Moulin Centre is not only a testament to the past; it is also turned to the future, contributing to teaching and to research, organising temporary exhibitions as well as lectures and other activities.
